About Maki
Maki LeVine is an accomplished Fine Art Photographer and Art Therapist from Australia, currently working between Tokyo, Japan and Melbourne, Australia. Her work is renowned for its emotional depth and profound connection to the human condition. Maki's distinctive style merges the human form with natural landscapes, delving into themes of our relationship with nature, our shared traits, and our vulnerability. Maki has discovered that photography is both a creative and therapeutic tool, allowing her to express how she sees herself and the world. Her medium format camera is integral to this process, serving as an extension of her artistic practice. Holding a camera requires intention and helps her focus on the subject or landscape, acting as a form of meditation. Through photography, she tells stories and highlights moments from the past, present, and future. For Maki, to photograph is to create a visual study of her life and surroundings.
Currently working in Tokyo, Japan.
From Melbourne, Australia.
